Once back in Amecameca everyone showered and we headed out for a dinner of pizza and beer, a Mexican classic. We all ate too much pizza. I personally had 11 slices and struggled to fall asleep that night. The next day we ate breakfast and headed to Puebla for our rest day. We stayed in a beautiful hotel in the heart of Puebla which luckily had washing machines at the top level. I finally got a chance to wash my heavily used clothes. The hotel is known for its amazing cuisine, especially its mole. We ate and slept well preparing for the trip to Pico. HM arrived the morning we were to leave for Pico and we all ate together before our departure. We made it to Tlatchichuca in the early afternoon and started the two hour 4X4 ride to La Piedra Grande hut.
